Friday playgroup

The art of giving

Once or twice a day Ronia builds me a tower, carefully choosing the colours of the blocks. She then brings it to me and most of the time it arrives in one piece!

Stickers

OMG they LOVED LOVED LOVED peeling the stickers and placing them on the paper.

Cheerios fun

I attached a piece of pasta on a homemade playgough. Ronia and Zwi got busy trying to place Cheerios onto the pasta. It's a great fine motor activity but eating the Cheerios is even more fun says Zwi.

(PS we used healthy Cheerios: Orgran Multi-grain O's with quinoa).

Guess how much I love you

Ronia waves to every single person we meet on the street.

Zwi always picks up two bottles and makes sure to give one to Ronia when he is thirsty.

Ronia tries to give a Zwi a toy if she wants to convince him to give one he is playing with (rather than just trying to snatch it).

Zwi tries to always get two toys (like a pencil or a rubber band) and give one to Ronia if we are at a playgroup.

They both bring books for me to read and sit on my lap many, many, many times a day.

When they get very tired they bring their sleeping bags and ask to be put to sleep.

They both ask to turn on the music so they can dance.

Update on the parrot

Well it's official! We did save the parrot and it has been reunited with their owner. I got a lovely phonecall from the owner to thank us.

Thursday Playgroup

Zwi playing with Mr Potato Head

Water play. And yes Zwi did sit down in the middle of the container and had for the rest of the playgroup run around with just his nappy on (as seen below).

There is usually around 10-20 kids at this playgroup. I tried to take the pictures without the other kids though as I wouldn't be able to publish them here without their parents' consent.

Cheeky little imp

It was getting close to our sleep time. I asked Ronia who was looking quite tired if she wanted to go so sleep. She said 'no' very firmly. To make her point, she took a book and went down the stairs waving to me on the way. I found her sitting with Laffi and Midge and reading them a book about Numbers.

When I got the camera she was finishing with the book and was getting ready to take them for a walk.
